Gold streaming vs Gold mining...
Similar to a music royalty, a gold royalty is simply a contract that gives the owner (i.e. a gold royalty company) rights to a portion of the final product. This can be a percentage of revenue or actual gold production (called a "stream"). Gold royalty companies pay an upfront sum for royalty rights and use these contracts to finance mining companies in need of capital. Since royalties typically cover the life of a mine, gold royalty companies benefit from the exploration upside that may extend the life of the mine and increase the amount of revenue (or gold) they receive from the mine at no additional cost.
Prospecting
There are many indications of gold bearing land, but until a professional scan has been done there is no guaranteed result.
Exploration
Once the mineral deposits have been detected, it is crucial to use a drilling method for extraction of samples before beginning any production at a mine.
Production
Once the high value deposits have been located the necessary method of mining can commence.
Processing
The processing of gold is one of the most important times, there is no room for mistakes in extraction, a simple error can be expensive and time consuming.
Payment
Once the gold is refined and sold we receive a payment through a royalty, or a gold stream where at we buy gold at discounted spot price for resale on the market.
